Steward's Report
Majestic George was quick to begin. Paw Isabelle and Minh George were slow to begin.
Long Reef (marred Minh Bronco in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the left fore. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Daniel Hawthorne regarding Long Reef's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Long Reef was charged with marring. Mr. Hawthorne pleaded guilty to the charge. Long Reef is suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Minh Bronco - winner of the event.
