Steward's Report
A race day urine sample was taken from Poppy Rocks, Reality Zero and Hunting Girl at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.
A urine sample was taken from Jairon Bale upon arrival at the course.
Pre-race urine samples were taken from Steal The Show and Arka Rain.
Poppy Rocks (turned its head outwards soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock laceration. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Justin Illman regarding Poppy Rocks’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Poppy Rocks was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Illman pleaded not guilty to the charge. Poppy Rocks was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Miss Galore - unplaced in the event.
