Steward's Report
Metal Bender – New declared weight of 37.6kg, last raced at 38.9kg.

Raphael Zeal was slow to begin.
Cool Sparky (visibly eased approaching the winning post) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following event 5. Cool Sparky was found to have injuries to the left back muscle right flexor tendon. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Gerry Orr regarding Cool Sparky’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Cool Sparky was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Orr pleaded not guilty to the charge. Cool Sparky was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Man Of Action - the winner of the event.
