Moraine Ted – Late scratching at 3.53pm due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Maureen Bloom informed Stewards that her property was flooded and she was unable to leave. Stewards advised Ms Bloom that evidence of the flooding will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. Supplementary Report – 20/10/24: The 28 day stand down was removed after the Stewards were provided with satisfactory evidence of the flooding. 

Tipsy Bluebird was quick to begin. Paw Ursula and Minh Bronco were slow to begin.

Tommy The Turtle (contacted the rail on the first turn, lost ground for the remainder and tailed off) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Colin Baker regarding the racing overall performance of the greyhound. After hearing submissions from Mr Baker, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued. Mr Baker was advised that a similar performance may result in a stand down.

Susbsequent to the race meeting Trainer Mr Colin Baker reported Tommy The Turtle had injured a right monkey muscle.
