A urine sample was taken from Sydney Show upon arrival at the course.
Sydney Show was quick to begin. Perfect Tonight was slow to begin.
Black Statesman, severley checked and fell first turn, completed course, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left tricep muscle, right elbow, right bicep muscle, left and right sartorius muscles and an abrasion to the left hind leg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Black Licorice, severley checked and lost ground first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left tricep muscle and right sartorius muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
