Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), starter P Brennan did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
Sizzle Jack was quick to begin. Cooper's Legacy, Wandering Rogue and Conroy Park were slow to begin.
Conroy Park (turned its head outwards in the home straight and marred Elevate), underwent a post–race veterinary examination, and was found to have thumps. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Gary Peach regarding Conroy Park racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Conroy Park was charged with marring. Mr. Peach pleaded guilty to the charge. Conroy Park was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
