Nothing Wrong – Late scratching at 14.09 due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. Brian Fothergill was fined $100.
Long Levers was slow to begin.
Aston Gleam (checked and lost ground in the back straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a sacro-iliac injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Emma Scott kennel representative regarding Aston Gleam's overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Ms.Scott to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Aston Gleam in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
