My Margot, Lilly Intention and Bye Georgie were quick to begin.
Bye Georgie (tired over the concluding stages) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Catch A Rainbow (visibly eased turning out of the front straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Cheryl Pirani regarding Catch A Rainbow’s racing manners turning out of the front straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Catch A Rainbow was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Pirani pleaded guilty to the charge. Catch A Rainbow was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
