Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from No Charge.
No Charge was quick to begin. Xoel Bale and Scotch Neat were slow to begin.
No Charge and Bella Stella raced wide in the home straight.
Xoel Bale – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events, in accordance with GAR 106.
Bella Stella (crossed wide and collided with No Charge in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 4. Bella Stella was found to have a right hip injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Danny Cortese regarding the racing manners of Bella Stella in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Cortese, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
A post-race sample was taken from Valencia Tilly - winner of the event.
