Steward's Report
Circle The Space, Stormin' Frank and Rie Bale were slow to begin,
Quested Bale (visibly eased approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Kennel representative Mr. Luke Harris declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. Harris regarding Quested Bale’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Quested Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Harris pleaded not guilty to the charge. Quested Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
