This event was delayed by one minute late due to operational matters.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Moraine Sofia.
Meal Ticket was slow to begin.
Lightning Pest, racing manners home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right gluteal muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G Elliot regarding Lightning Pest’s performance and racing manners in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr G Elliot, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Lightning Pest unsatisfactory. Lightning Pest must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Moriane Sofia, racing manners home, straight underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain and abraded right stopper. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G Judd regarding the racing manners of Moraine Sofia in the home straight . After hearing submissions from Mr G Judd, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
