Aston Asante was quick to begin. Cindy's Fire was slow to begin.
Cindy's Fire (was severely checked turning into the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left trapezius muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Inguanti regarding the racing manners of Cindy's Fire on the turn into the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. P Inguanti, viewing the available race footage, having their own observations and specifically noting the actions of Aston Asante shifting wide. Stewards took no further action.
