Steward's Report
Urine samples were taken from Black Compass and Uncle Rosco upon arrival at the course.
Pre–race urine samples were taken from Take A Shine and Speedy Riot.
Black Compass was quick to begin. Take A Shine raced wide in the home straight.
A post–race urine sample was taken taken from Bumpy's Dad Roy and Bourke.
Bourke (fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Far North (fell on the first turn) and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Due to a operational error, the semophore board displayed Race 8 results at the conclusion of the event.
Both the event time and first split were hand timed in this event.
