Steward's Report
Mr G Judd failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Just Time for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
Tinker Lee was quick to begin. Ronny Allsorts was slow to begin.
Queen Kate - checked and fell turn into home straight, completed course and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Resign The Plow - racing manners approaching home turn underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder joint injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Wright regarding the racing manners of Resign The Plow approaching the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr M Wright, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
Just Time underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Re-vet declined.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Judd regarding Just Time’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Just Time was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr G Judd pleaded guilty to the charge. Just Time was suspended for three months (3rd offence) at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
