Ross Street Pete underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated toe and a right hind laceration. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Nicmac Swift underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the right fore. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Briana Robertson-Leech regarding Nicmac Swift's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Nicmac Swift was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Robertson-Leech pleaded not guilty to the charge. Nicmac Swift was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
