Texas Gold was very slow out. Fancy Nat and Awesome Molly collided soon after the start checking Awesome Molly. Class And Style and Fancy Nat collided approaching the first turn checking Class And Style. Kim Banner, Fancy Nat and Tis Grand collided on the first turn. Spalding galloped on the heels of Tis Grand on the first turn checking Spalding and severely checking Tis Grand which stumbled as a result. Class And Style checked off the heels of Kim Banner on the fourth turn. Texas Gold and Spalding collided on th fourth turn. Kim Banner and Fancy Nat collided on the fifth turn. Tis Grand raced wide in the home straight.
