Steward's Report
Zac Power was slow out.
Grumpy Azz, Demolition Man, Indi Octane and Tiger Cuz collided soon after the start checking Indi Octane. Zac Power crossed to the rail soon after the start. Gran Torino and El Rocco collided approaching the first turn checking Gran Torino. Grumpy Azz and Zac Power collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. El Rocco and Dee Fire collided approaching the first turn. Tiger Cuz checked off the heels of Demolition Man approaching the first turn. Demolition Man and Tiger Cuz collided on the first turn checking Demolition Man and severely checking Tiger Cuz. Grumpy Azz and Tiger Cuz collided approaching the home turn. Zac Power and Tiger Cuz collided several times in the home straight. Indi Octane raced wide in the home straight.
Zac Power was vetted following the event and re-vetted following race 5. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hind (track leg), a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr F Bonnacurso, the representative of the greyhound Zac Power. Stewards deemed the performance of Zac Power unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Zac Power must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
