Avon Lyla May and Bazthrill were slow out. Bazthrill and Concise collided soon after start. Morgan Bros, Tornado Tom and Welcome Spida collided approaching the first turn checking Welcome Spida, Tornado Tom and Avon Lyla May. Morgan Bros checked off the heels of Bent on the first turn. Bazthrill and Concise collided on the first turn checking Bazthrill severely checking Concise. Tornado Tom raced wide on the home turn. Morgan Bros and Bazthrill collided in the home straight.
