Wolfie's On Fire, Cloverly George, Another Willy, Shamrock Gift and Uno Too Much were slow put. Cloverly George, Another Willy and Shamrock Gift collided appraching the first turn. Wolfie's On Fire galloped on the heels of Myrren's Gift approaching the first turn checking Wolfie's On Fire and severely checking Myrren's Gift which stumbled as a result. Uno Too Much checked off the heels of Westall's Back approaching the first turn. Wolfie's On Fire, Myrren's Gift, Cloverly George, Another Willy and Shamrock Gift collided on the first turn checking Wolfie's On Fire, Myrren's Gift and Cloverly George. Westall's Back, Wolfie's On Fire, Cloverly George and Another Willy collided entering the back straight checking Westall's Back, Wolfie's On Fire and Cloverly George. Shamrock Gift faltered on the third turn. Cloverly George veered out and marred the running of Shamrock Gift approaching the home turn.
