Cape Ozy, Straight and Royal Advisor were slow out. Pyramid Sands, Cape Ozy and Straight collided soon after the start. Running On Bundy and O'Leary Walker collided approaching the first turn. Cape Ozy and Straight collided approaching the first turn. O'Leary Walker and Straight collided on the first turn. Cape Ozy checked off the heels of O'Leary Walker approaching the second turn. Pyramid Sands checked off the heels of Cape Ozy on the third turn. O'Leary Walker checked off the heels of Caneater on the third turn. O'Leary Walker and Pyramid Sands collided approaching the home turn. O'Leary Walker and Straight collided on the home turn. Pyramid Sands and Royal Advisor collided entering the home straight.
Running On Bundy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Burnett, the trainer of Running On Bundy regarding the greyhounds performance over the concluding stages of the event. After a submission from Mr Burnett, Stewards took no further action in the matter.
