Asafa Gold, Risky Discovery and Why Not Beth were slow out. Lucky Rhonda was very slow out. Asafa Gold and Risky Discovery collided soon after the start. Why Not Beth clipped the heels of Asafa Gold approaching the first turn. Newfire Jill and Asafa Gold collided on the first turn. Why Not Beth crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Asafa Gold and Newfire Jill, Asafa Gold and Risky Discovery collided as a result. Newfire Jill and Asafa Gold collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Mustang Monty and Viennata raced wide on the home turn. Viennata raced wide in the home straight. Asafa Gold was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Steward's issued a warning to Mr. W. Reid the trainer of Asafa Gold regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Steward's spoke to Mrs. D. Selleck handler of Lucky Rhonda regarding the greyhound being very slow out of the boxes. Steward's issued a warning re box manners.
