Steward's Report
Bronelly Striker, Upon Bale and Ruxton Flame were quick to begin. Zipping Whincup was slow to begin.
Bronelly Striker (contacted the rail turning out of the front straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf and back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr B. Bravo regarding Bronelly Striker's racing manners on the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Bronelly Strilker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr B. Bravo representative pleaded not guilty to the charge. Bronelly Striker was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Whincup - the winner of the event.
