Steward's Report
Blackpool Ranger – Late scratching at 1.15pm when Mrs. Renee Kenyon reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate, pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w), before any future nominations will be accepted.
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Starter D. Robertson did not act in any official capacity that may have, in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Just Time.
Queen Shakira was quick to begin. Perfect Tonight and Just Time were slow to begin.
Perfect Tonight and Bern's Banjo raced wide in the home straight.
Just Time (marred Perfect Tonight on the home turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms. B. Robertson-Leech regarding the racing manners of Just Time on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Just Time was charged with marring. Ms. Robertson-Leech pleaded guilty to the charge. Just Time was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
