Steward's Report
Gretel's Girl was quick to begin.
Pat Penny (turned its head outwards at the 100m mark), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 11. Pat Penny was found to have injuries to the right quadriceps and sartorius. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Donald Jarvis regarding Pat Penny's racing manners at the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Pat Penny was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Jarvis pleaded guilty to the charge. Pat Penny must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Gretel's Girl - the winner of the event.
