Steward's Report
Hondo Lane and Banana Joe were slow to begin. Ritza Dale and Bubsy Fernando raced wide in the home straight.
Ritza Dale (racing manners on the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr M.Faulkner regarding Ritza Dale's performance and racing manners on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr Faulkner, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Ritza Dale unsatisfactory. Ritza Dale must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Hondo Lane (lost ground approaching the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle and a right triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Aston Bianca – the winner of the event.
