Steward's Report
Lala Noel – Late scratching at 3.33pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to an unkown illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Spellman was slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Alonzo Thrills – the winner of the event.
Diablo Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr John Caulfield regarding Diablo Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Diablo Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr J. Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge. Diablo Bale was suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
