Smirkey – The frequency of racing was discussed with kennel representative, Mr. Darren Petersen – Stewards noted these comments.
Smirkey was very slow to begin (3L).
Smirkey (frequency of racing) and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Diamond Socks (faltered and lost ground in the back straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder muscle injury and a right triangle muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
