Spaghetti Arms, She's On Boost and Zanab Bale were quick to begin. Blazing Gold was slow to begin.
She's On Boost raced wide in the home straight.
Zanab Bale (marred in home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs Lisa Delbridge regarding Zanab Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Zanab Bale was charged with marring. Mrs Delbridge pleaded guilty to the charge. Zanab Bale was suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
