Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Obsession Agogo.
McIvor Clyde was quick to begin.
McIvor Clyde underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Barry Priest regarding Mcivor Clyde’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Mcivor Clyde was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Priest pleaded guilty to the charge. Mcivor Clyde was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke, via telephone, to Mrs. Paula Boots, the trainer of Go Saints Go after they left the course today without the permission of Stewards and without having the greyhound examined by the On-Track Veterinarian following the event. Mrs. Boots was issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 94(2), and was directed to produce Go Saints Go at the Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club for a veterinary examination on 24 July 2023.
