Lakeview Rosie was quick to begin. Cailah's Pistol and Dan Dan were slow to begin.
Why Not Jules underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Leigh Carter regarding the racing manners of Why Not Jules in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Carter, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
A post–race sample was taken from Omega Morgan – the winner of the event.
