Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Rio Tokyo upon arrival at the course.
This event was rescheduled to 5:14pm due to Warwick Thoroughbreds being abandoned.
Arabian Princess was quick to begin. Shimmer Sparkle was slow to begin.
Hay Riley visibly eased turning off the back straight. Underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 11. Hay Riley was found to have right long head triceps muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Lindsay Fulford, regarding Hay Riley’s racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Hay Riley was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge. Hay Riley must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
There was no head on vision available in the front straight.
