Steward's Report

A race day sample was taken from Dr. Dot at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.

Dr. Rio was quick to begin.

Dr. Rio failed to pursue the lure with due commitment on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 7. Dr. Rio was found to have a right long head triceps muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Jennifer Gill regarding Dr. Rio’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Dr. Rio was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Gill pled guilty to the charge, Dr. Rio was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Audacious Livvy turned it's head outwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Keven Wainwright regarding Audacious Livvy’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Audacious Livvy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Wainwright pled guilty to the charge, Audacious Livvy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Dr. Dot - the winner of the event.
