Steward's Report
Sweet Chevelle and Zipping Kerber was quick to begin. Who Knows was slow to begin.
Who Knows contacted the running rail several times on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left hind spike wound and minor bruising. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Tufo regarding Who Knows performance on the first turn. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr Tufo to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Who Knows in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Short Notice collided with Zipping Kerber approaching the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left hock abrasion. No stand down period was imposed.
Myall Meg underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Myall Meg – Turned in the boxes, took no competitive part in the race and was placed on a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 106 (1), pursuant to GAR 132.
A post-race sample was taken from Sweet Chevelle - the winner of the event.
There was no head-on vision avaliable in the home straight for this event.
