Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Greysynd Shock.
Neroli and Hot Scotch were quick to begin. Dutch Riot, Coulter Bale and Sunisa Bale were slow to begin.
Coulter Bale (faltered and lost ground soon after the start), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an eye injury/condition, an elevated temperature and a lumbo-sacral injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative, Ms. Deb Coleman about the performance of Coulter Bale and the injury reported by the veterinary surgeon. Acting in accordance with GAR 42(4), Stewards must receive a veterinary certificate of clearance that indicates the greyhound’s vision is adequate to allow the greyhound to see the lure. Upon receipt of this clearance, Coulter Bale must then perform a Satisfactory Trial, pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
