Linda Listen (raced wide and collided with Black Viper several times) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh and a left hamstring injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Representative Ms J.Lyons regarding the racing manners of Linda Listen entering the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms Lyons, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Sunshine Gold (turned head outwards entering the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race four. Sunshine Gold was found to have a right trapezius muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Douglas Sheridan regarding Sunshine Gold’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Sunshine Gold was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Sheridan pleaded guilty to the charge, Sunshine Gold was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Tulip was slow to begin.

Aston Tulip (uncompetitive in the event), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Andrew Symons regarding Aston Tulip’s performance and racing manners in this event. After hearing submissions from Mr Symons, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Aston Tulip unsatisfactory. Aston Tulip must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Matt's Shadow was slow to begin. Aston Lenny was very slow to begin (six lengths).

Coach Beard – New declared weight of 35.5kg, last raced at 36.6kg.

Jet Fighter was quick to begin. 

Jet Fighter (turned its head outwards and marred Immersive in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Peter Dunlevey regarding Jet Fighter’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Jet Fighter was charged with marring. Mr Dunlevey pleaded guilty to the charge, Jet Fighter was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Green Backs and Myall Mannered were slow to begin. 

Aston Emiko – Late scratching at 5:18pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre–race sample was taken from Tin Tin Cabang.

Back Pay – Late scratching at 8:32pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to left fore papilloma. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre–race sample was taken from Broadside.

Tails Bale, Broadside and Turbo Percy were slow to begin. 

Tails Bale (lost ground in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. 

Turbo Percy (fell on the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left wrist. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
