Running River – Late scratching at 6:01pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Property Mogul was quick to begin. Bora Burst was slow to begin.

Soda Kiwi (severely checked and lost ground on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury and thumps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Zambora (lost ground approaching the home turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Aeroplane Tori (checked multiple times in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Taylor Thornton regarding the racing manners of Aeroplane Tori in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Thornton, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

A post–race sample was taken from Bora Burst – the winner of the event. 

Whoa Nelly, Georgie Bale and Haimi Bale were slow to begin.

A post–race sample was taken from Soda Polly – the winner of the event. 

Viking Rebel and Know Ethics were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to representative Mr Jye Formosa regarding the racing manners of Pretty Reef on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr Formosa, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections. 

Spring Tune (marred Viking Rebel approaching the winning post), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury and a right quadriceps injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Dean Elliot regarding Spring Tune’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Spring Tune was charged with marring. Mr Elliot pleaded guilty to the charge. Spring Tune is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post–race sample was taken from Pretty Reef – the winner of the event. 

Texas Long Horn – Late scratching at 6:41pm due to not being presented in the required kennelling time (GAR 86 and LR 39). Trainer, Mr Jake Dean advised stewards that he encountered multiple traffic incidents and was unable to arrive at the track in the required kennelling time. Due to the circumstances surrounding the non–presentation, no further action was taken.

A pre-race sample was taken from No Holds Barred.

Denominator was quick to begin. Dr. Falkor and Basmati were slow to begin.

Russian Berry – New declared weight of 34.9kg, last raced at 36.0kg.

Without Reason was quick to begin. Whiskey Road and Russian Berry were slow to begin.

Russian Berry underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a right carpal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

There were no reportable incidents in this event.

One Trick Pony – Late scratching at 11:04am when trainer, Mr Ian Garland reported the greyhound to have vomiting (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Commission, Fayetteville and Benalla Bandit were quick to begin.

Chappy's Girl – Late scratching at 6:12pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a split webbing injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Wishing Well and Ibrox Cooper were quick to begin.

Ibrox Cooper (checked and lost ground on the first turn), and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Slingshot Flare was quick to begin. Perfect Flossy and Means Business were slow to begin.

Texicali Tiger (visably eased and turned it's head inwards entering the home straight) and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Michael Davison regarding Texicali Tiger’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Texicali Tiger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Davison pleaded not guilty to the charge. Texicali Tiger was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform  Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Whisky Nip – Late scratching at 6:39pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a tail injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bullheaded.

Barooga Banjo was slow to begin.

Representative, Mr Michael Hendy requested an early race endorsement for Hillbilly Lass. Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian. Hillbilly Lass will compete in early races until further notice.

Kanji Length (faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

In accordance with LR 40.2, Participants Mr Sydney Anstee, Mr Scott Melville, Mr Patrick Newell, Ms Michele Berry, Mr Alfred Debattista and Miss Chelsi Madigan were issued with a warning regarding non–compliance with the GRV Dress Standards.
