Dr. Taylor and Flame Bale were quick to begin. Dr. Timothy, Laurie's Chance and Sisco Pure were slow to begin. Laurie's Chance crossed to the rail approaching the first turn. Flame Bale checked off Lonesome Jozza on the first turn. My Minion and Sisco Pure collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Dr. Taylor and Laurie's Chance collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Soul Maker and Lonesome Jozza collided entering the back straight. Lonesome Jozza veered out and marred the running of Soul Maker in the back straight, on the third turn and again approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Laurie's Chance and Sisco Pure collided approaching the third turn. Sisco Pure eased in the home straight.
Lonesome Jozza was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr T. Dailly, Representative for Trainer of the greyhound, Lonesome Jozza. Acting under GAR 69(1), Stewards charged Lonesome Jozza with marring. Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Lonesome Jozza was found guilty and was suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sisco Pure was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 3. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr A. Marum, Trainer of Sisco Pure. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Sisco Pure with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Marum pleaded guilty to the charge, Sisco Pure was found guilty and was suspended for 3 months (All Tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
