Steward's Report
The starting time for the event was delayed for 2 mins in order for the greyhound Madame Black to be re-vetted behind the boxes after stewards were notified that the greyhound may had vomitted whilst parading. The greyhound was passed fit to run by the veterinary surgeon.
Zell Bale, Madame Black and Can Can Hurrican was slow to begin. Madame Balck checked off Amity Flame on the first turn checking Can Can Hurrican. Zell Bale checked off Bailey Rose on the first turn checking Amity Flame. Bailey Rose checked off Zipping Maggie enterin the back straight.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Amity Flame became dislodged during the running of the event.
Subsequent to the event stewards spoke to the Attendant of Madame Black, Mr. F. Tasca. Mr. Tasca stated that according to his knowledge the greyhound had not received any medications leading up to the event and he was satisfied with the greyhound's condition.
A sample was taken from Madame Black - unplaced in the race. The greyhound was also re-vetted after the event and no abnormality was detected.
