Ensemble was quick to begin. Coconut Mia, Draconian and Rushworth were slow to begin.
Peppermint Minty lost ground over the concluding stages of the event, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a whip muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
