Lektra Nick, Poison Sky and Blue Scotch Boy were quick to begin.
Devil's Water underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on 24 June 2023.
