A sample was taken from Elva Grace upon arrival at the course.
Jenny's Chances was quick to begin. Mt. View Bentley was slow to begin.
Tenerife underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr T. Whitford regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Tenerife was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Whitford pled guilty to the charge, Tenerife must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
