Steward's Report
A pre - race sample was taken from Your Colour Room.
Peacock was quick to begin. Triumph and Riptide Ruslie were slow to begin.
Soda Extreme (collided with Your Colour Room and fell on the first turn), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported the greyhound sustained a fracture to the right humerus. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race blood sample was taken from Your Colour Room – the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to licensed participants - Ms. A Scott and Ms C Hooke after they entered the track on the first turn to retrieve Soda Extreme which fell at that point of the race from the track. After hearing submissions from Ms Scott and Ms Hooke, and going through the provisions of the GRV Track Rules and Exclusion Zone Procedures, Stewards reminded both participants with a reminder of their responsibilities - GAR156(f) - to not enter the track during a race or at any time when the lure is in motion.
