Steward's Report
Mepunga Mantra – Late scratching at 10.11am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to dehydration. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Winged Dominance was quick to begin. No Tax was slow to begin.
Winged Dominance (eased at the 50 metre mark), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported to have a left calf injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Michael Mellington regarding Winged Dominance’s racing manners at the 50 metre mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Winged Dominacce was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Mellington pleaded not guilty to the charge. Winged Dominance was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
