Steward's Report
The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 86, due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays on–route to the track. The kennels closed at 11:21am.
A sample upon arrival was unable to be taken from Starburst Candy, a pre–race sample was subsequently taken.
Vale Orchard was slow to begin.
Vale Orchard (lost ground entering the back straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Strawberry Sweet – the winner of the event.
