Steward's Report
Infra Bang Bang was quick to begin. Hasten Hilda, Forward Step, Inter Buzz Along and Second Opinion were slow to begin.
Miss Immy Lee faultered at the 200m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a long head of triceps muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Hasten Hilda underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Shane Wetzels regarding Hasten Hilda’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Hasten Hilda was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Wetzels pled guilty to the charge, Hasten Hilda was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
