Steward's Report
My Mate Lucas was slow to begin.
Alvin Rose marred Good Boy Colombo in the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Sharon Chignell regarding Alvin Rose’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Alvin Rose was charged with marring. Mrs Chignell pled guilty to the charge, Alvin Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Renegade Ruslie visibly eased in the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Russell Edwards regarding Rewnegade Ruslie’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Renegade Ruslie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Edwards pled not guilty to the charge, Renagade Ruslie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mai Spolly underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have injuries to the right triangle and right quadriceps. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Brett Mackie regarding the racing manners of My Mate Lucas in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Mackie, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
