Knowing was quick to begin. Legal Bud, Arlington and Affair Bit were slow to begin.
Skull marred Mustang Molly on the home turn.
Eureka Icon, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind webbing - no stand down period was imposed.
Skull, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer A. Debattista regarding Skull's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Skull was charged with marring. Trainer A. Debattista pleaded not guilty to the charge, Skull was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127 and GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
