Steward's Report
No Way Nellie underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request - no apparent injury was reported.
No Way Nellie was slow to begin.
Trust I Seek and No Way Nellie collided soon after the start. No Way Nellie, Diama Miss and Teardrop collided on the first turn. Zereva and Trust I Seek collided on the first turn checking Zereva. Zereva and Teardrop collided on the second turn checking Teardrop. She's A Keeper raced wide in the back straight. Diama Miss turned its head outwards and marred Trust I Seek in the home straight.
Diama Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Anthony Clarke- Bruce, the trainer of Diama Miss regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Diama Miss was charged with marring. Mr Clarke- Bruce pleaded guilty to the charge, Diama Miss was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
