Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Half Pint and Juliette were quick to begin. Perfect Lomar and Lyrical Dad collided approaching the first turn, checking Perfect Lomar. Perfect Lomar checked off Ellie Bliss on the first turn. Juliette and Midda's Missile collided approaching the home turn, checking Juliette. Perfect Lomar checked off Gem Victorem on the home turn. Lyrical Dad and Midda's Missile collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Lyrical Dad and Midda's Missile collided in the home straight, checking Midda's Missile which fell and severely checked Perfect Lomar.
Gem Victorem underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Midda's Missile underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder and right triangle injuries. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
