Steward's Report
Dancing Cassie was quick to begin. Two Phones and Always Primed collided several times soon after the start. Miss Somerton was checked off Phil’s My Bro approaching the first turn. Soda Pee Wee and Dancing Cassie collided on the first turn. Phil’s My Bro was checked off Two Phones on the home turn. Soda Pee Wee and Dancing Cassie collided several times from the home turn to entering the home straight.
Dancing Cassie underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9, no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Lieshout, the trainer of Dancing Cassie regarding the greyhound‘s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Dancing Cassie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Lieshout pleaded guilty to the charge, Dancing Cassie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
